Although there was a lot of talk over the weekend of a bloody Monday, it didn’t seem to come to fruition with crypto pulling back slightly and equities putting in a positive day overall. I’ve mentioned it before, but all of this macro doomer stuff just isn’t really my cup of tea. I have a bit more positive of an outlook on things, and honestly feel like Pierre kind of hits the nail on the head with this comment.

Now seeing the same lads who were late af on alts in Feb but suddenly AI experts, turning into BTC maxi and bank doomers. Some more patience needed, but we’re slowly getting there.

That tweet was the third in a quick thread, starting with this for some context:

The same way you sell all your ETH when .eth talk about flippening, you rotate everything into alts when btc_maxi_copetards celebrate ETH death. Patience, they always do.

I know the narrative right now is all BTC and gold, but personally I’ve seen this narrative take over CT before, and last time - around Oct-Nov 2021 IIRC - BTC topped and got outperformed by alts. So while BTC may outperform in the short term, just don’t get upset if you don’t have the exposure you wish you had while everyone shills it.

And as for gold, well, this tweet always sticks in my mind:

11/15 ..but we can at least divide the exchange rates of BTCUSD (bitcoin) and XAUUSD (gold) with M2 to establish whether the nominal value appreciation has kept up with USD monetary expansion.

Instead, I’ll continue to hold my ETH and accumulate more.

Of course, I’m hardly an expert, and this is never financial advice. It’s more like, this is the stupid stuff I do with my own money and why I think the way I do.
