gm gm everyone, and happy KillaFriday! With this 6th edition of my Primer on Killabears, we should be all caught up on the ecosystem by the end. Knowing this team, however, they will probably drop something today that will completely outdate this within hours. If you missed the previous 5th Edition I put out recently, check that below!
Oh, and don’t forget to tune into today’s KillaFriday spaces if you’re looking for something to do later this evening!
Killabears Scannerizer
The latest big announcement from the Killabears team was the announcement of the Scannerizer - a way for OG Bear holders to tokenize their individual traits for use (or sale) in the future.

Awesomely, this is a completely gasless staking experience - you don’t even need to sign with your wallet once you’re in your dashboard. After 30 days, your traits will be finished scanning - at that point, it’s anyone’s guess what happens next, but with Cubs sitting on the horizon, I imagine we will be burning plenty of these.
In fact, the Scannerizer has become so popular already, that the vast majority of OG Bears in existence are staked already.

Here’s a great thread by Tito that dives further into it.

Needless to say, this is another brilliant mechanic by the team that will also result in people holding onto their OG bears post Killacubs drop. Oh, by the way - the team also filled a vault with all sorts of goodies that you have a chance to win when you get out of the Scannerizer!

Discover the Killaverse
The team also recently announced that they will be holding a 5-Part Twitter series aimed at educating individuals on all sorts of aspects of the Killaverse - from how it was formed, to where it’s going. This is an awesome venture undertaken by the team in a space that sorely needs help in regards to education - with so many projects out there in the cryptoverse, it’s easy to glance over projects and dismiss them as “just another NFT project.” With this 5-Part twitter series, it’ll be a great opportunity for people to hear from the team themselves.

Delabs Games
Another announcement the team made recently was that the Killabears team and community somehow will be involved in the web3 gaming space alongside Delabs Games. While this is something long suspected (particularly due to the team’s background in mobile gaming), getting confirmation that something cool like this is being worked on is awesome.

General Killabears News
Read this whole thread - the Killabears community is absolutely amazing. After one of our great friend’s son’s hard work got ruined by some bullies at school, the Killabears community reached out in support just like you’d have expected. Not only did everyone have incredibly encouraging and kind things to say, but the Beanie Bearmanos are making a special donation.

This is an awesome story of perseverance from a founding member of the Killabears team.

Just like above, the Killabears community shows up to support each other. With NFT NYC looming shortly, look how many people are coming out to support one of our great friends, Jed.

That’s it for today - I hope you have a great weekend!
