gm gm everyone, and happy Wednesday! Allow me to take you back a moment in time for today’s newsletter.
Last September when I first started as community manager at EightBit, my good friend @ethFRENCHIE of @blokpax fame told me about this awesome project idea he was working on.
It was called the “Last PoW Claim Pass,” and the idea was that it was the last NFT ever minted on the Ethereum Proof of Work Chain. Frenchie and his team were giving them away for free, and he offered allowlist opportunities for both the EightBit community and this newsletter - you can check it out in the beginning of this old newsletter if you’re that curious.
You can also still check out the old premint page below for a lot more information on the project at that point.
Well, these free mints effectively became what today are known as the Lost Miners of the Ether - you can check out their twitter here. And I’ll be damned if they haven’t been doing well - from free mint, to a current price floor around .30 eth, with a chart that you legit couldn’t ask to look better.
Now, full disclosure, I do hold one of these Lost Miners, but the reason I bring this all up is because shortly, Blokpax is going to be airdropping their token, $BPX, which you can qualify for for free.

There’s an entire ecosystem at play here that I will get into in a future newsletter, but effectively you can use your $BPX to buy real physical assets (cards, comics, memorabilia), premium digital items, etc.

I don’t know if this stuff will be worth a ton of money or anything in the future, and tbh that’s not why I’m writing this - but a chance to get a free airdrop from a team you can see above has obviously delivered value is something I always try to share with my friends. I’m an old card geek (MTG and Pokemon), so this is something I have a personal interest in.
General Market News
This is a great piece on markets and contagion from Charles himself.
Metawin always supports the @killabearsnft ecosystem, and it’s an awesome thing to see. They swept a bunch of bits yesterday for some future raffles.

Oddities used to be as stable as it got back at ~1 eth range - no longer.

Kanpai Pandas continue to tease their upcoming PPDex. PP stands for Panda Points, you didn’t know?
That’s it for today - I hope you have a great Wednesday!
